TENNIS TEAMS SWEEP HOOD COLLEGE

Frederick, Maryland—April 20, 2006:  The University of the District of Columbia Men’s and Women’s Tennis Teams defeated the Hood College Blazers on Thursday in singles and doubles competition in Frederick, Maryland. The UDC Lady Firebirds Team won their contest by the score of 5-4, while the Firebirds Men’s Team posted an 8-1 win.

Both teams have compiled a 4-6-season record. The Lady Firebirds will play their next match on Friday, April 21, 2006, at 4 p.m., against the College of Notre Dame Lady Gators in Baltimore, Maryland. The Firebirds will play their next match on Sunday, April 23, at 1 p.m., against the Goucher College Gophers at home.
