Assistance for Small Business Owners! The University of the District of Columbia’s Small Business Development Center’s goal is to provide assistance to alumni—and others—who own and operate small businesses. Candice Miles, director of the Center wants alumni to know about the information and services that include one-on-one counseling, trainings, and workshops to future and existing small business owners. The counseling ranges in areas from business plan development to marketing to financial planning and all related topics involved with operating a small business. And, as a Small Business Administration partner, the counseling services are offered at no cost, while the trainings/workshops are generally presented at cost.
