Scholarships are available through the UDC Foundation and Office of Financial Aid. The available scholarships are listed under three categories: High School Students, Undergraduate Students, and Graduate Students. Students must submit a completed scholarship application (see below) and the required supporting documents for each scholarship applied. UDC Scholarship Information
Scholarships are awarded based on major, merit, financial need or a combination of all; and are available to students from a variety of sources (e.g., private donors, community organizations, federal & state) all of whom support the mission of the University.
Carefully review all requirements and criteria before you apply for a scholarship. Incomplete applications with missing documentation will not be considered. Please note, many scholarship programs and Donors, require applicants to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Tips for Applying
- Review the eligibility requirements and only apply if you meet the outlined requirements
- Thoroughly review the application prior to submission
- Formulate a well written essay (if required)
- Include all required documentation (letters of recommendation, etc.)
- Meet deadline dates (if deadline date falls on a weekend, the application should be received last business day before weekend)

Students receiving scholarships are encouraged to send Donors a letter or card of appreciation. Thank you letters and cards often encourage Donors to continue to support the University. Be sure to include brief statements about your major of study, career goals and aspirations. Donors like to know about their recipients and their future plans.
