AboutWhat is Engineering?Engineering is the art of applying mathematical and scientific principles to create solutions for real-world problems. Engineering is the single most significant discipline responsible for economic growth and development in the modern world. The five traditional engineering disciplines are chemical, civil, electrical, industrial/systems and mechanical. Professionals in these fields are responsible for our highways, skyscrapers, modern day medicines, computers and electronics—to name but a few. Aerospace, architectural, computer, nuclear, oceanic, and environmental engineering are other areas expected to be in high demand globally. The School of Engineering and Applied Science at UDC strives to help you become a success in whichever engineering discipline you choose. To that end, we offer challenging, nationally competitive programs, low teacher to student ratios, one-on-one guidance and a wealth of opportunities to help you achieve the future you deserve. SEAS can empower you to excel in any engineering discipline. Are you ready? |
