Computer Science Technology Program
Office Phone 274-7409 / Rm.# 42/109
The Associate in Applied Science in Computer Science Technology has two options. The first option (Software and Programming Option) has a focus on applications programming. The student is trained in the logic of problem solving, and at the completion of the program is equipped to write computer programs in modern languages such as C++, Visual Basic, and Assembly Language. Exposure is provided to legacy languages such as Fortran and Cobol. Students are also trained in the use of modern office software application packages. The second option (Computer Networks Option) provides for training as computer network professionals and network administrators. Courses prepare students to take several of industry exams leading to certification, such as Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA). Courses in this program have the letter code CSNT.
