TAPIT Scholar Program

A wrap-around-academic counseling and support program expanded from PATHS alumni to include all TAPIT recipients who attend the University of the District of Columbia.

  • Expansion of academic and career counseling services from 10 PATHS alumni to nearly 45 students
  • Establish partnership with the IMA Bureau of Training and Employment TAPIT initiative to promote collaborative support of TAPIT Scholars
  • Maintain files on all TAPIT Scholars
  • Integrate the program of study into the Individual Responsibility Plan
  • Require seminar attendance at the TAPIT Scholars Seminars during the semester
  • Provide academic monitoring and counseling to:
    • Identify early warning signs of academic trouble
    • Connect students to PATHS and other university support services
