The program location on the University of the District of Columbia Van Ness campus where most students are working adults who attend school on a part-time basis.

  • Natural milieu of working adults who attend the University of the District of Columbia on a part-time basis to enhance career mobility and/or wage progression.
  • Interacting with working adults who return to upgrade their work skills through short-term continuing education or academic courses.
  • PATHS' classrooms are located throughout the building with classrooms for different types of educational/training offerings.
  • Eligible to attend all university sponsored job fairs and other student activities.
  • Eligible to use university resources - library, swimming pool, gym etc.
  • Eligible to attend information sessions sponsored by the GED and continuing education offices.
  • Able to connect to short-term course, certificate and academic program offered on the UDC campus.

Flexible and Adaptive Nature of PATHS program helps IMA to meet emergent needs.

  • PATHS immediately expanded the TAPIT Scholars Program to include over 30 more students at the request of Ms. Jesberg.
  • Basic skills assessment capacity- PATHS has the capacity to immediately assist IMA in conducting basic skills assessment for TANF recipients and providing literacy instruction for those who are nearing the end of their time limits.
