Learn the basics theories, skills and rules and regulations used by nonprofit professional to effectively advocate for a variety of causes and constituents. |
American Humanics Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership
Courses Requirements: Introduction to Nonprofit Organizations, Volunteer Management, Fundraising and 2 elective courses; electives must be approved by Program Advisor.
Internship: Students participate in a 300 hour internship in a 501 (c) 3 agency. Students have the option of taking a (3) credit practicum course in conjunction with 300 hours.
Professional Conference: Attend 1 American Humanics Management Institute. Participants must also participate in student directed campaign to raise funds to attend the institute.
American Humanics Student Association: Students participate in competency-based workshops, AHMI Campaign, Community projects, and networking.
* Accredited B.A. degree: The American Humanics Certificate is intended to supplement a bachelors degree by providing hands on experiential learning, nonprofit focused courses and professional development. The students who complete the program requirements prior to graduation must wait to formally apply for the AH National certification until after completion of B.A degree.
