Masters of Science in Applied Statistics

The Master of Science in Applied Statistics Program will serve those intending to teach, work in industry and government, or for those who are preparing for a doctoral program. For each entering student, the Graduate Coordinator will design an individual program and will continue to meet with the student on a regular basis to update the plan of study, assess the student’s progress toward the objectives, and assure that appropriate courses or directed study will be available.

The general requirements to enter the University Graduate program are stated in the Graduate Admission Application Procedure.

The program in Applied Statistics consists of two options:

Option 1: 30 credit hours of graduate course work without thesis.

Option 2: 24 credit hours course work plus 6 additional semester hours by selecting an approved internship or by writing and defending an expository thesis.
