Training & Development

Our constantly changing world requires that we take the initiative to know specifically what area (or areas) of our work related knowledge and skills need improvement. For example, we recently learned that faculty were using every available seat in the Blackboard (e-learning platform) training to improve their online teaching and technical skills. Or you may feel, or your supervisor may feel, that you need to grow in your ability to use Microsoft Excel or Access to better analyze or report on data.

We simply ask that you coordinate with your supervisor about your interest in classes and follow the E-Learning program guidelines. The entire University encourages and supports your development – the better you are, the better we are!

Please register for the training using PeopleSoft Self Service.

Additionally, we now have our Course Calendar for FY 2012 available on the Workforce Development website, wda.dc.gov. There you can find all the available classes through May 2012. It can be found on the “Course Calendar 2012” tab on the home page. To accommodate for classes that may be cancelled or added, the Course Calendar will be updated weekly.
